Irish Liaison joins Plus 10
30th Oct 2015
The Plus 10 bonus scheme has today announced Fiona Goor has joined the scheme as a dedicated Irish Liaison Officer ahead of the final yearling and foal sales of 2015.
Mrs Goor will attend local bloodstock sales, industry events and race meetings and will be a contact point for scheme enquiries in Ireland. She brings extensive bloodstock experience to Plus 10, spanning two decades working in Europe and Australia.
Mrs Goor said: “I am a huge supporter of the Plus 10 bonus scheme and am excited to be joining Plus 10 as an Irish Liaison Officer. I believe Plus 10 is bringing significant benefit to breeders in the sales ring and owners and trainers on the track and that the scheme has a bright future in Ireland.”
In making the announcement, Plus 10 Communications Manager, Sheena Coffey, said: “The Plus 10 bonus scheme has had a very real impact in Irish sales rings in 2015, with Plus 10 horses selling for €10,000 more at Goffs Orby Sale and €4,000 more at the Tattersalls Ireland September Sale compared with non-Plus 10 lots.
“Not only are Irish breeders pocketing more money in the sales ring by selling Plus 10 yearlings, but they are also earning a share of the €12,500 bonuses won on the track, where almost €850,000 worth of bonuses have been won.
“We expect to carry forward about 20 €12,500 bonuses to be applied to three-year-old only maiden races from the beginning of the 2016 Irish Flat season, which means further opportunities for Plus 10 maidens as they begin their three-year-old campaigns.
“It is an exciting time to be a part of Plus 10 and we are thrilled to announce Fiona is joining the team and will continue to drive the bonus scheme forward in Ireland.”
