Amy Murphy Collects Plus 10 Bonus
8th May 2017
In last week’s racing £60,000 worth of Plus 10 bonuses were paid out across UK and Ireland in two-year-old and three-year-old races.
Amongst bonuses collected, a notable achievement was the success of Newmarket based Trainer Amy Murphy who collected her first Plus 10 bonus when two year-old, Blessed To Empress, scored on debut in the 5f fillies’ novice auction stakes at Chelmsford on 2 May – the victory was Amy’s first juvenile winner, who said:
“I am delighted to have been able to win with Blessed to Empress first time out, the fact that she’s Plus 10 registered is a huge bonus. I always try and target Plus 10 races with registered horses as the difference between winning £4,000 and £14,000 is huge. The prize money difference is particularly noticeable for syndicates like White Diamond Racing and we are extremely grateful to have such bonus schemes on offer”
The daughter of Holy Roman Emperor was purchased at Tattersalls October Book 3 yearling sales for €17,000, the winnings from her debut success come close to covering her purchase cost.
