Treble at Dundalk
4th May 2018
Three race winners at Dundalk on Wednesday evening received a €12,500 boost in prize money thanks to Plus 10, an owner and breeder incentive scheme which pays bonus prize money on top of race winnings to Plus 10 registered horses.
The treble was initiated by TAMMY WYNETTE, a three-year-old filly by TAMAYUZ, bred by Grange Stud, who scored in the opening 5f maiden race, on her third attempt for trainer W McCreery and owner F Fahy.
Her success was closely followed by the first Irish two-year-old bonus winner of 2018, CHICAS AMIGAS, a filly by DRAGON PULSE, bred by the Irish National Stud, she was purchased for just €25,000 at the Goffs Orby Sale, and provided a quick return on investment for her owners, All About The Girls Syndicate.
BOND STREET, a three-year-old colt by GALILEO completed the last leg of the Plus 10 treble, and in doing so collected the last bonus remaining in 2018 Irish three-year-old races.
In Ireland, each foal crop has 100 bonuses available to win, spread across two-year-old and three-year-old maiden races, which provides an additional €1.25 million in prize money.
